The world has seen more than enough banana bread this year.Here is another one for you – my recipe of the best banana cream cheese bread with banana cream. Banana is the most common and easy available fruit in the entire world!! Yes, which is why most of us consume them – And also bananas are a healthy source of fiber, potassium and other anti-oxidants.
Like all banana bread recipes, this recipe also uses overripe bananas and in addition uses one perfectly ripe banana for the frosting. Speaking of overripe bananas, I have a few recipes in my blog – check them out and here below is one more.

This banana cream cheese bread is an one bowl recipe, so easy to make and is a good change from the regular banana bread if you are a baker. The recipe uses in cream cheese in three ways. In the batter, inside the loaf as chunks and in the frosting. How more exciting can a recipe can become – Every time you see a chunk of cream cheese and take a bite, the cheese will melt in your mouth. The salt and sweet will sing awesome notes in your mouth!!
So, the recipe includes an amazingly easy, luscious banana cream cheese frosting drizzled on top which is optional – but guys, I would love for you all to try it. It is easy, delicious and so very banana-y I have no words to describe it other than heavenly.

- Gives a lot of satisfaction on making, if you are bored of making common banana bread recipes which seems to be the trend nowadays with everybody craving to cook and bake with the leftover banana during the quarantine and isolation.
Like I told, do not skip the banana cream because that is amazing. And the chocolate shavings on top, again optional. But is super fantastic with the banana cream. Makes you think like you are eating the best banoffee pie!!
Make the Banana cream cheese bread –
INGREDIENTS
- 3 Ripe Bananas
- 1 Cup 100g Light Brown sugar or Regular Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 200 gm Cream Cheese divide into 50 gm[For batter] and 100 gm[For chunks in the bread] and another 50 gm[for frosting]
- 75 ml Olive Oil
- 1 1/2 Cups 180 gm All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
For Frosting
- 50 gm Cream Cheese From Above
- 1 Banana
- 2 Cups Powdered Sugar [Icing Sugar]
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract Optional
- Chocolate Shavings Optional
INSTRUCTIONS
Make the Banana Cheese cream bread
- In a large mixing bowl mash the banana using a fork.
- Add the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, oil and 50 gm of cream cheese. Whisk well
- Sift in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and the ground cinnamon.
- Mix until combined. The batter is ready.
- In a greased and lined loaf tin, pour half of the batter.
- Cut 100 gm of cream cheese into bite sized chunks and place all over the batter.
- Pour in the remaining batter and level the batter by tapping the loaf tin a few times.
- Bake in a preheated oven of 180 degrees Celsius for 45-50 minutes.
- Let it cool on a rack for at least 30 minutes – 1 hour.
- Frost the banana cream cheese bread with banana cream frosting.
- Sprinkle the chocolate shavings.
- Slice and serve. Enjoy.
Make the banana cream frosting
- In a mixer or a bowl, mash the banana until smooth.
- Add the cream cheese and the vanilla extract and whisk until smooth.
- Add the icing sugar and combine all together until it is of pouring consistency.
- Add more icing sugar if you want a thick spreadable frosting.
- Slice and Enjoy.

Notes

- Use cream cheese from the fridge for the chunks to retain the cheese chunks shape.
- Use not too ripe banana for the cream frosting.
- Adjust consistency of the frosting by adding more or less icing sugar.
