Sweet and spiced Lassi – The famous Indian yogurt based drink. Mostly made with thick yogurt, sugar and some cardamom pods. This recipe below is a more thick, more healthy and has real saffron strands in it.

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups of thick Yogurt

  • 4 Teaspoons of Sugar

  • 1/2 cup of Almonds

  • A pinch of salt

  • Few strands of Saffron

Directions

  • In a blender Jar, Add the Sugar, almonds and some of the Saffron. Blend until they are ground together.
  • Add the yogurt, salt and blend for 15-20 seconds.
  • Chill and serve with some sliced almonds and the remaining Saffron strands {If using cold Yogurt like I did, drink straight from the blender, no need to chill}
