Choco Caramel Ice Cream

Choco Caramel Ice Cream (Rich, Creamy & Utterly Divine)

If there’s one dessert that feels like a hug in every bite, it’s this choco caramel ice cream. Deep chocolate flavor, ribbons of silky homemade sea salt caramel, and a luscious creamy base—this is the kind of treat that disappears faster than you expect!

Made using my trusty decade-old Kenwood ice cream maker (still going strong!), this recipe is simple, indulgent, and perfect for when you want something extra special without complicated steps.

Why You’ll Love This

  • Ultra creamy, no icy texture
  • Rich chocolate flavor with real melted chocolate
  • Perfect balance of sweet + salty from homemade caramel
  • Beautiful layered look with ganache and chocolate shavings
  • Feels gourmet, but super easy to make

Ingredients

For the Ice Cream Base:

  • 2 cups fresh cream (chilled)
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100g melted chocolate (cooled slightly)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Caramel Layer:

  • Homemade sea salt caramel (thick and slightly warm)

For Layering:

  • Chocolate ganache
  • Chocolate shavings

How to Make Choco Caramel Ice Cream

Step 1: Prepare the Chocolate Base
In a bowl, whisk together cream and condensed milk until smooth and slightly thick. Add cocoa powder, melted chocolate, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined and glossy.

Step 2: Churn It
Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Step 3: Layer the Magic
In a freezer-safe container:

  • Add a layer of churned ice cream
  • Drizzle generous amounts of sea salt caramel
  • Add some chocolate ganache
  • Repeat layers

Finish with chocolate shavings on top.

Step 4: Freeze
Freeze for at least 6–8 hours or overnight until firm.

Serving Suggestion

Scoop generously and serve slightly softened for the best creamy texture. Every bite gives you chocolate richness with caramel swirls—absolute heaven.

Pro Tips

  • Use good quality chocolate for a deeper flavor
  • Slightly warm caramel makes layering easier
  • Don’t over-churn; stop at soft-serve stage
  • Let it sit out 2–3 minutes before scooping

This choco caramel ice cream is everything you want in a homemade dessert—rich, creamy, indulgent, and unforgettable. Whether it’s for a weekend treat or a special gathering, this one’s guaranteed to impress.
