Ingredients
Eggs – 4
Olive Oil – 1 tsp
Garlic – 2 cloves[Crushed]
Water – 3 tbsp
Salt – 1/2 tsp [Adjust as needed]
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 3/4 tsp
Directions
- Hard boil the eggs – about 10-12 minutes and peel them. Halve them.
- In a small mixing bowl add the water, salt, turmeric and red chilli powder. Mix well and keep it ready.
- Heat a frying pan and add the oil.
- Add the crushed unpeeled garlic cloves and until until slightly bronwed.
- Add the spice mix water carefully along the sides. It will splatter – so do it in low flame.
- But the oil and the spice mix come to boil, place the eggs cut side down.
- Cook for a few minutes and carefully flip. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the water evaporates and you get the roasted eggs.
- The eggs are ready. Serve hot with rice of your choice
Notes
- These eggs keep well for 1 day and is travel friendly. You can prepare and take them for picnics or tours as side dish.
- Adjust spice as needed.
