Sweet Ragi Roti

Sweet Ragi Roti
Vegetarian

Sweet Ragi Roti.. finger millet is a very common ingredient in our home and whenever I go home to my parents my mom sends back some freshly milled millet flour. I make Puttu or kozhukattai or even bread with them. Roti too nowadays, thanks to the north Indian food influencers tempting us with all those missi Roti, bajra Roti etc., My mom always have made savory Roti or flat bread with finger millet flour.. you know loads of chopped Onion, moringa leaves ,green chillies and cooked on an iron tawa with Ghee. I’m not a big fan of it though..  ate it all the times because she wouldn’t serve anything else on this days and I didn’t want to go hungry. Sorry mummy!!

I prefer sweets and she knew it, and as healthy as thay savory Roti are she made the equally health sweeter version so I love the millet flour too.
And I love these Roti, because they are simple to make and unbelievably healthy with millet flour, iron rich jaggery and some ghee in it.

Recipe for these gluten free, Healthy sweet Ragi Roti is below.. please note I have measured in cups, not grams for this recipe. Measure in any cup the same ratio. Add more coconut if you like, or sweet as you like.
