Chocolate Almond Puff Pastry Braid

– 1 sheet of all-butter puff pastry
– 1 Lindt sea salt chocolate bar
– 1/2 cup sliced almonds
– 2 tablespoons icing sugar
– 1 egg (for egg wash)


1. Preheat your oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Puff Pastry

Lay out your puff pastry sheet on a floured surface. If it’s not already in the shape of a rectangle, gently roll it out to form one.

3. Prepare the Chocolate

Unwrap the Lindt sea salt chocolate bar and break it into small pieces. Sprinkle the chocolate pieces evenly over the middle third of the puff pastry, leaving some space around the edges.
