Choco Chip Almond Cookies

Choco Chip Almond Cookies – Small Batch, Big Flavor! 🍪

There’s something magical about the aroma of freshly baked cookies filling the kitchen. These Choco Chip Almond Cookies are the perfect small-batch treat — I made just 6 beautiful cookies, and they were gone almost instantly! Golden on the edges, soft in the middle, and loaded with gooey chocolate chips and crunchy almond slices, they are everything a cookie should be.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Small Batch – Just enough to satisfy the craving without overindulging.
  • Perfect Texture – Crisp edges with a melt-in-your-mouth center.
  • Quick & Easy – From mixing bowl to oven in under 10 minutes!

Ingredients (Makes 6 cookies)

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk (or cream)
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp sliced almonds

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla extract and milk; mix until smooth.
  4. Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold to form a soft dough.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips, keeping some aside for topping.
  6. Scoop dough into 6 equal portions, shape into balls, and place on the prepared tray.
  7. Flatten slightly, press extra chocolate chips and sliced almonds on top.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden but centers look slightly soft.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes on the tray before enjoying warm with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee.

Tips for the Best Cookies

  • Don’t overbake — they will continue to cook slightly after you take them out of the oven.
  • For extra nuttiness, lightly toast the almonds before topping the cookies.
  • Use dark chocolate chips if you prefer a richer flavor.

Serving Suggestion: These cookies pair beautifully with a creamy hot chocolate or a frothy cappuccino. Perfect for cozy evenings, rainy afternoons, or just because you deserve a treat!
