Homemade Spiced Dulce De Leche - Microwave method
Easiest homemade Dulce De Leche with spices to spice things up made in less than 20 minutes in the microwave.
latin american, Mexican
A large Microwave Bowl
Sweetened Condensed milk
I used a full can of it, which was 75 gms.
Cayenne Pepper Powder
Empty the can of Condensed milk in a large microwave safe bowl.
Set the microwave in medium power and time for 2 minutes. Keep an eye on the microwave as the condensed milk may boil over.
Stir once and keep cooking for 2 more times, 2 minutes each.
Add the spices and cook for another 2 minutes.
When the condensed milk will start getting thicker to stir, add some of the milk and loosen the condensed milk. Put it back in the microwave and keep cooking in 1 minute interval.
Add milk only if so thick and mix well and cook until the milk mixture attains the caramel brown color, and shiny.
Let it cool and store in a clean jar until you want to use.
Enjoy with cakes, cookies, ice cream and all the things you like this spiced Dulce De Leche with.
For the first few minutes, be very watchful and ensure the milk doesn't boil over. If it comes to a full boil, stop and stir once and put it back in the microwave.
The mixture will be very hot, so be careful and use heat resistant gloves or oven mitts.
Add any spice you like in the mix - Cinnamon, nutmeg will all taste good and warm.
